Are you joining in on the 30 day yoga challenge? How are you feeling? I’m starting the feel great.
I think for me it is all about drinking more water, reducing coffee to only 1 a day, adding yoga into
my routine every morning and eating clean every meal. I can see little body changes inside and out,
my stomach is not as bloated and I feel more energised as I wizz through the day.
Bodie and Fou are still full steam ahead with this 30 day challenge and follow her story’s here.
With the feeling of more energy I want to eat better each meal, so I have been finding
some yummy recipes.
Breakfast
freshly squeezed lemon in warm water
gluten free bread with avocado
Lunch
mixed salad – my favorite this week is this Spring Salad, I love the dressing.
Dinner
Soups – with two of my favorites being the Hearty Winter Veg Soup & Roasted Cauliflower Soup
Snacks
almonds & apples
6-8 glasses of water with fresh squeezed lemon
Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram
Happy day

* What inspired you to create DTLL?
I suppose it could be seen as a selfish need.. The inspiration was my love of unique and handmade items and a desire to be able to find them all in one place without having to keep searching through all my bookmarks. It really is my place to share the delightful things
* Describe your day at the DTLL office?
No two days are EVER the same. I have two children and only one at school so my days still involve swim classes and school pick ups with co ordinating two days of 5 that I have my little chap the whole day. After school drop off there is always an hour or two of exercise before work starts. EVERY work day involves a few emails with my team in between Melbourne, Bondi, Paddington and Prague (yes Prague.. we have our tech developers there).
Between Magazines, Stylists and our gorgeous sellers you can throw in another 2-3 hrs of emails and then weekly I meet our Creative Team to go through our future developments for the site and chat about design work, catch up with my PR Company to discuss opportunities that have been offered to us, meet new stores to see their products and I try my best to catch up with the women I have connected with through business over the last 3 years and brainstorm at least once a fortnight
* Your ‘wish list’ from DTLL
What a looney question.. honestly I have at least 1000 items I could just rattle off but I will give you me current top 4
A gorgeous piece of luxury Lingerie from a stunning designer La Lilouche
* What is your interior style?
French Provincial with lots of Modern Industrial mixed in.. Lots of Natural Colours and Textures with as much duck egg, grey and minty green as I can get away with
* 3 words that best describe you.
oohh I should so ask hubby his 3 after I answer mine.. Me : determined, competitive and loyal Hubby : Passionate, stubborn and thoughtful . That’s funny possibly the same traits in different wording
* Your favourite colours
Grey, White, Duck Egg Blue and Khaki
* Tell us a little more about your family
We are a very close family. Hubby and I are total homebodies and we hang out a lot as a 4. My kids are 4.5 and nearly 6 so the past few years have been a whirlwind but it is bundles of fun
* Favorite blogs/ websites to visit for inspiration

Being totally obsessed with PINTEREST, and my constant ‘pinning’ is an addiction to find different styles of all interiors from living rooms to bathrooms. I love the thrill of seeing what catches my eye. Also the kindness of being inspired by wonderful words and quotes.
Today, I wanted to share my top 5 kitchens I have pinned into the Kitchen board for you to be inspired… what ever your Interior Style.
vintage touches, black painted floors, open shelves, square white tiles plus the bench seat!

concrete floors, industrial bench, exposed brick and timber wall feature
loving the look!
adding a splash of colour, red smeg fridge & chair, black board on the wall

From the every first Edition of The Quintessential Magazine, the pages have been an extraordinary experience , from the creative images, attention to details and the talented people you meet. The incredible mind behind this magazine creation is Leanne Carter-Taylor, a fabulous creator with a history of design, retail and marketing plus the passion to never take ‘no’ as an answer! | Love her |
This Edition 4 will not let you down, The Quintessential Magazine is larger than life, interest your creative mind with images on every page, meeting George Glasgow Jr the bespoke English shoemaker in the UK and have you enjoy the weird and odd of objects that once where treasures from the past on page 10.
Even with Leanne’s busy schedule, she has taken time to answer 5 questions below. | The time starts now with Leanne’s Fast & Five |
* What inspired you to create The Quintessential Magazine?
I have been asked on many occasions to write a book, to document my travels and how I find the industrial & antique objects for our retail store, quintessential duckeggBLUE, so it sort of started from that request…..
Didn’t really have the time to write a book (in hindsight I think a one off book would have been a whole lot easier than creating the bi monthly online magazine, THE quintessential MAGAZINE, it seems to consume my life on a daily basis!), so instead thought I would create an online magazine, not a blog…..wow, what an immense project this turned out to be…..but in a way seems much more relevant in todays world….

Keeping with the colour theme this week, I have found this amazing
home of a interiors photographer Debbi Treloar on her blog called
Double Exposure and instantly fell in love with all of her wonders
through her home, even her bathroom has a whimsical style. Having
a visual feast with her portfolio I just had to share Debbi’s fabulous
style with you. Plus my favorite is the neon pink chair, easy DIY with
a huge colour ‘POP’. Let’s see inside! Knock, Knock
Loving her home too?
Have a great day

Being the beginning of our Australian winter months, I already feel like I am eating more, drinking more
coffee, and less out doors to exercise. I know this is my little excuse to do all the above but I am
feeling very unfit and lazy.
When only 2 days ago I made a commitment to start a 30day Yoga challenge with Bodie and Fou
on instagram, | you can follow me on instagram Here and Bodie and Fou Here |
It is a 30 day challenge is to eat clean and healthy and to add Yoga into the day.
For me personally it is to have less coffee and carbs and increase my yoga program to 30mins or
more daily.
Like Bodie and Fou, I have taken measurements of my body |super scary for me| and will continue once
a week to see my progress. I love doing power yoga and will increase to 6-7 days a week, I feel power
yoga suits my body and has more powerful movements than a ‘zen’ session.
Sharing my healthy eating over the past few days has looked something like this :-
Breakfast
Warm water with freshly squeezed lemon & lime juice from my fruit trees2 slices of gluten free
bread with avocado
small cup of coffee
Lunch
Salad with feta cheese and butter beans
Afternoon tea
apple | while waiting in the car at school pick up |
Dinner
Vegetable bake with organic quinoa and rice
6 glasses of lemon/lime water
I would love for you to join in this challenge with other women all around the world. And over the next month
I will share my journey with you.
Also see Bodie and Fou 30day Yoga challenge and join in her journey with some yummy recipes to get inspired.
Let’s do this challenge together, start today with us.

Being a lover of white, black and grey interiors sometimes
adding a little element of colour is fun and in winter can
lift your spirits. Looking around my home I have captured
little splashes of pink that might get you inspired.
Would you add pink into your home?
I’m loving all shades of pink from the Neon to the pastels and when
teamed with the right space can create a little splash of fun.
Enjoy
