inside out magazine ~ Natalie from daily imprint

Natalie Walton is very a talented stylist & writer and I have
fallen on love with her style and follow her blog

daily imprint.
Natalie’s cute home is featured in

Inside Out magazine

~ 2012 Annual Renovating & Decorating Guide (currently on sale)

and is full of interesting mix of second hand finds that have been loved again.

I also had a little giggle when Natalie said that she spends her Saturday nights thinking about how
to redecorating her home, rearranging pile of books, even painting book cases once the
kids have gone to bed!
that is so me… {yes sad but true}

See more of Natalie home on her blog ~ daily imprint~ and get tips on how she
sourced some of the pieces for the place.

Enjoy

Cush & Nooks ~ fast & five

Welcome to Fast & Five.

This week I would love to introduce…

Cush & Nooks is a New Zealand based online homewares store that provides beautiful pieces for your home and your life.

I source products, from New Zealand and around the world, that I would love to have in our own home.

I believe that your home is a work in progress, so we will be constantly evolving, reflecting whatever is inspiring us at the time.

Your time starts NOW…

* right now I LoVe….
There are always things I am coveting, but right now I LOVE antique Kilim rugs.
The colours and patterns are divine, and they are so gorgeously rustic, like a piece of art for your floor.

* what inspires you….
I am inspired by homes that reflect their owners.
I love seeing things that people have collected over the years and tell a story. I adore interiors that ooze warmth and personality.

* a person that makes you smile..
I love to smile and have a good laugh. I have three little girls that often make my smile, and then there’s Graham Norton – he is Hilarious!

* life motto….
I have a few, but I am currently using this as my screen saver…
“I think we like to complicate things when it is really quite simple; find what it is that makes you happy, and who it is that makes you happy, and you’re set. Promise”.
I love that!

Vic {pictured below} is the beauty and brains behind Cush & Nooks. I fall in love

with the wonderful colour inspirations that is splashed about on Cush & Nooks

Face Book and Blog pages.

colour inspirations

They say that you can get inspiration from anywhere if you just look.
Well, why not get colour inspiration for your home from ‘food’

Pantone colours good enough to eat!

MMMmmm

How brilliant, these are all desert tarts made by a French food designer Emilie de Griottes for the issue 6 of Friocte Magazine {links below}.
All tarts are recreated from the Pantone colour swatches with delicious foods.

Eatable and Inspiring.

friday fun with colour ~ white & wood

If any one has ventured to the paint store to get ‘white paint’ you know
that white has exploded into some stunning shades from a white cloud, lime wash
Swedish white and creamy whites.
I could live in a white home, with loads of textured wood finishings. I believe that white brings to interiors
a softness and magical touch, pure and light, simple but not boring.
Let me inspire you with the love of white and wood.
Beachy

French

stylish and soulful

exposed and industrial

Scandinavian mix of tasteful texture

sleek and spacious

White, White, WHITE

Never doubt that white is bland as you can see by introducing some focal wooden points
to a white room  you will end up with a great style for your home.

Enjoy
