After purchasing fabric dye months ago and still sitting on my desk under books and stuff, last weekend I knew it was time. It was just waiting to be used and to colour something’s world. With pinterest over loading my mind I decided to make it easy and grab T-shirt and just dip it. This Tee is an oldie but a goodie, loving the shape, oversized and relaxed! So I wanted to share with you all that you don’t have to make a big issue of creating, just start.. Have a look what else I dipped!
Tips that are super simple
Get a bucket or use your laundry tub make up the colour as per the packet instructions | I used the powder dye | USE GLOVES |
Wet the end of the material you wish to dye | this saves water | Once the end this wet, dip into the bucket of dye, remembering the longer you leave the fabric in dye the more vibrant the colour becomes.
Rinse under water until the water is clear, if you need more ‘colour’ dip again. | TIP- the colour will always look deeper and brighter when the fabric is wet as the colour softens when the fabric becomes dry |
hang to dry!
Easy weekend DIY fun for you to try maybe this weekend?
